OUR STORY
Ava Innes was created in 2019 by Joan Johnston, a luxury textile expert who set out to create a new standard in bedding. With a life-long career working in the most respected noble fibres, it was a knowledge of cashmere that led to reviving the forgotten fibre of cashmere guard hair. Too straight to weave with, the protective outer goat of the cashmere goat had never been used before as a duvet fill. It is this enduring respect for natural fibres that has led Ava Innes to become the choice of hotels such as Rocco Forte, The Torridon, and Small Luxury Hotels of the World accredited residences.

Luxury starts and ends with good nature. Our materials are honest, regenerative, natural and biodegradable. Adjustable pillows can be refilled and refreshed with traceable Scottish wool. Working exactly as nature intended them to, keratin-rich cashmere guard hair and wool duvets intuitively sense body temperature, keeping you in your optimal temperature zone for sleep. Fresh air and sunshine are all our bedding needs to naturally cleanse. While at the end of life, they decompose in soil within a matter of months, sustaining the land with vital nitrogen.
